Applications are now open for the 2026 National Treasury Bursary Scheme. The National Treasury is committed to youth and skills development in the country. The Bursary scheme is directed at providing financial support to South African students studying in the fields deemed critical and scarce for the National Treasury.
The National Treasury bursary scheme is available if you require funding from your second year of undergraduate studies at the local accredited University or University of Technology.
Requirements
- Be registered for full-time undergraduate studies
- Be a South African citizen
- Achieved an academic average of 65% and above in the latest examinations (mid year/June 2025)
- Financial need is considered in all the applications (combined household income must not exceed
R600,000.00 per annum) - Be well rounded academically, with strong performance in any of the following fields:
- BCom Accounting
- BCom Economics
- Diploma Logistics
- Degree/Diploma Graphic Design

Please note: Preference will be given to high performing students with top grades.
