Applications are now open for the 2nd round of the IGAD Scholarship Programme for refugees, returnees, and IDPs!
The IGAD Regional Scholarship Program aims to provide access to higher education for refugee, returnee, and IDP youth, promoting self-reliance and regional integration. As a flagship initiative of the IGAD Executive Secretary, the program will financially support 35 students admitted or enrolled in accredited higher education institutions in their host community or place of origin. By nurturing future leaders equipped with quality education and training, the program endeavors to promote self-reliance and regional integration.
Eligibility:
- Applicants must belong to a displacement-affected community, be citizens of an IGAD member state, and be admitted or enrolled in an accredited institution in the IGAD region.
Benefits:
- Financial assistance covers tuition, accommodation, subsistence, and medical expenses, up to €3,189 per student per year.
