Applications are now open for the 2026 One Young World – Roche Scholarship. The oche Scholarship 2026, will enable 3 outstanding professionals working in the NHS to participate in the One Young World Summit in Cape Town, South Africa from 3-6 November 2026.
This programme is for young leaders within the NHS who have demonstrated a commitment to sustainable innovation in healthcare. Examples may include (but are not limited to) the following:
- Tackling the causes and effects of health inequalities
- Creating or implementing innovative methods of treatment or diagnosis to enhance the patient care pathway
- Reducing emissions or burdens on natural resources, such as through decarbonising healthcare supply chains
Requirements
- Aged 18 to 35* at the time of the One Young World Summit 2026.
- Nationals of all countries will be eligible to apply for this scholarship, but must:
- Be based in the United Kingdom.
- Hold a position in the NHS or in an organisation working in partnership with the NHS.
- Understanding of key local and/or global issues.
- Track record of generating impactful and innovative solutions.
- Demonstrated commitment to sustainable innovation in healthcare.
*We are not able to accept applications from those who will be aged under 18 at the time of the Summit.
Benefits
Scholars will receive:
- Access to the One Young World Summit 2026 in Cape Town.
- Hotel accommodation in Cape Town in a private room between 2-6 November 2026 (inclusive).
- The cost of travel to and from Cape Town (economy class).
- Scholars will be responsible for booking their own flights, and will be reimbursed.
- Catering which includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner (provided by the hotel and during the Summit).
- Cost of transportation between airport and hotel via public transport.
