Eligibility Criteria for Malaysia International Scholarship 2026
- Open to graduates from developing and underdeveloped countries
- Must enroll as a full-time postgraduate student at a Malaysian university
- Must have at least two semesters remaining in their program
- Age limit:
- Maximum 40 years for Master’s applicants
- Maximum 45 years for PhD applicants
- Master’s applicants must have a CGPA of 3.0 or Second-Class Upper Honors
- PhD applicants must have a CGPA of 3.0 or excellent academic results in a Master’s degree
- Must submit a research proposal of at least 1000 words
English Language Requirements
Applicants must demonstrate English proficiency through:
- IELTS: Minimum score of 6.0 (commonly required)
- TOEFL: Minimum score of 550 (paper-based equivalent)
Alternatively, applicants whose previous degree was taught in English may submit proof of English as the medium of instruction.
