Eligibility Criteria for the Japan Study Support Scholarship 2025:

• Must be a non-Japanese citizen
• Accepted into a Japanese university’s undergraduate, master’s, or doctoral program
• Utilized the JPSS Scouting Function and received an offer from a university
• Enrollment must commence in either the Spring (April–May) or Fall (September–November) of 2025​

Required Documents:

• Completed application form for the scholarship.
• Short essay in English or Japanese discussing motivation for studying in Japan and future goals. (English: maximum 350 words, Japanese: maximum 800 characters)
• Short self-introduction video, up to 30 seconds in length.

Deadline:

• Spring Application: May 31, 2025
