Applications are now open for the 2025 Bertelsmann-Udacity Next Generation Tech Booster Scholarship. Bertelsmann and Udacity are partnering to award learners with scholarships. Learn valuable skills to open new career opportunities in the lucrative fields of Generative AI, Ethical Hacker, and Digital Marketing.

Program Details

  • Convenient: Courses are part-time and online so you can learn when and where it’s convenient for you.
  • Flexible: Aflexible schedule means you can put in a few hours in the challenge phase, and 8-10 hours in the Nanodegree phase per week.
  • In-depth: Students can access dozens of hours of free training modules and tutorials on generative AI, cybersecurity, or digital marketing, and their real-world applications.
  • Inclusive: The scholarship is available to learners 18 years or older with English comprehension worldwide.
  • Cutting-edge: Students get the exciting opportunity to learn competencies in the most in-demand and fastest-growing fields in tech.
  • Mentor-supported: All students can leverage guidance from experts and curriculum developers through monthly ask me anything (AMAs). Participants can access 1:1 mentoring from these advisors.

How It Works

  1. Select a TrackLearners who apply to the program will select 1 of 3 tracks: Generative AI, Ethical Hacker, Digital Marketing.
  2. Challenge Course: 17,000 applicants accepted into the program will enroll in a challenge course for their selected track, where they will learn the foundational elements of their chosen topic. The Generative AI and Ethical Hacker tracks have technical assessments on which applicants will be tested in order to qualify. The Digital Marketing track has no technical assessment prior to the Challenge Course.
  3. Scholarship Recipients: AnnouncedThe 500 top-performing students from their respective challenge courses receive a Nanodegree program scholarship. To learn more about the individual programs, please visit the pages for Generative AI, Ethical Hacker, and Digital Marketing.

Scholarship Timeline

  1. Monday, October 28, 2024: Next Generation Tech Booster applications open on Udacity’s website
    • Saturday, November 30, 2024: Last day to submit applications to earn scholarship access on Udacity
  2. Monday, December 9, 2024: Scholarship recipients notified of their admission to the program
  3. Wednesday, December 11, 2024: Phase 1 Challenge start date
  4. Wednesday, February 12, 2025: Phase 1 Challenge end date
  5. Wednesday, March 5, 2025: Phase 2 Nanodegree start date
  6. Saturday, July 12, 2025: Phase 2 Nanodegree end date
